If you’re in a similar stage of life as I was, you probably don’t have many things you could call your own. One of the biggest issues in today’s society is that everything is built around consumption. We constantly consume content. Some people even watch educational content, but if we never use what we learn, all that knowledge is wasted.
You already know everything you need to get started. So start creating right now. Don’t wait for the right moment. And if you don´t know what to create, begin with the kind of content you consume the most. For me, that’s videos about minimalism and philosophical questions about life.
Once you have chosen what you want to create, just begin. It doesn’t have to be perfect. It just has to be yours. If you’ve decided to start drawing, then draw something. Maybe the view from the window. The first attempt might make you cringe a little, but don’t let that stop you. Even the longest journey starts with a single step. Try to create something new every day, and I’m sure that in a few months, the progress you’ve made will be obvious.
I don´t try to tell you to stop consuming content at all. The goal is simply to find a balance between creating and consuming. If you have two hours of free time a day, try spending one hour creating and one hour watching content that will help you improve your creation the next day.
Any change in life has to be gradual and sustainable. And who knows, maybe you’ll eventually build a small side income that will allow you to finally pursue what you truly want.
If you’ve already decided what you’re going to create, share it in the comments so we can inspire more people to start creating too. I hope you will reach the life you dream of.
