My first contact with German was in primary school. It was only some basic knowledge that I quickly lost, because I didn’t have German later in middle or high school. During university, I tried several times to teach myself German, but my motivation never lasted. I stayed stuck at the A1/A2 level for a long time. Only with my current job did things change, because besides English, I occasionally needed German as well. I didn’t have to speak it, but I received emails and offers in German. It bothered me to constantly rely on translations, so I decided to stick with it this time. That’s why I chose to write my personal page in German and share my learning story. Maybe someone will come across it who is in a similar situation to where I once was, when I lacked motivation.
I want this section about German to be like a diary where I collect helpful sources and materials, so you don’t have to search for them yourself when you need them. The first entry starts today.
